Wish I Was There
I just got off the phone with my mom and am happy to say that they (mom, dad, and gramma) made it safely and not too broke from Las Vegas. Last week they were in SanDiego dropping my littlest sister off at Camp (Sea World Adventure camp, at that). Then they went to Las Vegas for a few days (gramma is borderline addicted to casinos). Mom said they had fun and pretty much broke even. I don't understand why, but they didn't go to any shows or concerts either?! Then they drove through/near Sedona, Arizona, you know, where they're having a lot of forest fires. And, now they're on their way to Palm Springs and SanDiego (to pick up littlest sister on Friday). Saturday they will be heading back home.
Wow. And I thought our 2 weeks was quick, could you imagine ALL THAT in just 1.5 weeks? Of course, I wish I could've gone, too. Even if just to say that I had been to SanDiego and Las Vegas! Oh, to swim in the Pacific Ocean again (haven't since I was 6)!! I'm sure R would love to see it, too.
Next weekend we'll go through Georgia and South Carolina (R's first time in both states). Maybe we can even swing up to North Carolina? The weekend after that I think we'll be down on the Coast for a family get together (R's dad's family). At the end of July, best-bud AJ will be going with her other girlfriend to Hawaii. Yes, HAWAII! (And :( she didn't even invite me.) Just kidding, like I could afford that. And besides, my little sister is coming to visit in August.
Co-Gradstudent GK just got back from Norway, where he had a conference. His wife went with him, too, having just gotten back from New York (visiting family). And, The Boss is going to Russia next week. (Work or pleasure, I don't know, but DANG! Sure wish I could go!)
Soon enough, Celina, soon enough. I have faith that one day we'll be able to just pick up and go whereever/whenever the desire strikes. But, wouldn't it be awesome to just be a fly on the wall for all those trips?!?!

I would love to be anywhere but here in Cincy. I cannot wait until the baby is a little older so that car trip with 3 kids and a dog doesn't sound like hell. :)
I know that feeling. It seems like everyone else is going somewhere when you aren't. Like you say, though, someday.
One of the things I like about you most is your love for travelling, especially car travelling.
I loooooooove South Carolina! Whereabouts are you going? I want to get married in Charleston in white point gardens on the battery, or on the Isle of Palms, on the beach!! (Edwin plays there a lot, you know me!)I'm so mad at my Mom for moving from there, it is such a friendly state!
It would be awesome to get up and go on a moments notice, freedom! Love it!
